Lord Gautam Buddha was born in Nepal at Lumbini as a prince of a royal family about 2600 hundred years ago. He was a kind hearted person among the various person of the world. He devoted in different places and reached Gaya, a place in India, where he gained Bodhisatto (Enlightment)', the knowledge. Today, Buddhism is a popular religion in the world. It is very much popular in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, china, Japan etc. Nepal is the motherland of Gautam Buddha. It is itself popular in Nepal too.

The core principle of the religion o is 'Non-Vilence. It means it's a sin to kill any living thing and cause troubles to others living things. Their belief and approach is known as Panchasil. This made Gautam Buddha the light of Asia. He became famous world wide and followed by the people of the world.
The main pillar of Buddhism is the belief that there is misery in the life and we can overcome the misery. Many of the seekers from all over the world followed the Buddhism because every one in the world has the desire and until and unless we have desire we are in the misery. The day desire ends is the day misery ends which is the state of Buddha hood, bodhisotto or enlightment.
